Dans le cadre du séminaire “Jean Chrysostome : édition et histoire des textes”, le mercredi 18 février 2026 de 14h à 16h,  Dante Borghi (Univ. Modena e Reggio Emilia, Univ. Bologna) donnera aux Sources Chrétiennes (22 rue Sala, 69002 Lyon) une communication (en anglais) intitulée:

The Homily De Turture (CPG 4547): A comparison between the Armenian and Eastern recensions

The homily De turture (CPG 4547) is traditionally attributed to John Chrysostom, but recent studies have ascribed it to the so-called Pseudo-Chrysostom of Cappadocia.
In addition to the Greek and Latin manuscript tradition, the homily has also been widely spread among the languages of the ancient Christian East: Armenian, Syriac, Georgian, and Church Slavonic. Through the presentation of the manuscript tradition and textual comparison, this paper aims to highlight some relationships between the Armenian and the other Eastern versions. Some Loci critici will be discussed and an attempt will be made to draw some conclusions pending the Greek critical text, which is currently being collated.

L’homélie De turture (CPG 4547) est traditionnellement attribuée à Jean Chrysostome, mais des études récentes l’ont attribuée à un “Pseudo-Chrysostome de Cappadoce”.
Outre la tradition manuscrite grecque et latine, l’homélie a été également largement diffusée dans les langues de l’Orient chrétien antique : arménien, syriaque, géorgien et vieux-slave. À travers la présentation de la tradition manuscrite et la comparaison des textes, l’exposé vise à mettre en évidence certaines relations entre la version arménienne et les autres versions orientales. Certains loci critici seront discutés et une tentative sera faite pour tirer certaines conclusions en attendant le texte critique grec, qui est actuellement en cours de collationnement.
